  • What is the difference between a non-catalog order and a Blanket PO?

Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) may only be used for recurring purchases from the same supplier throughout a fiscal year.  A non-catalog or "straight" PO used for one-time purchases. Examples

    • Blanket PO: Recurring purchases from the same supplier during the fiscal year (e.g., Compass Group/Chartwells).

    • Non-Catalog PO: A one-time equipment purchase, service engagement, or project-specific order.

  •  When to use a Retrofit order vs. a Purchase Order (PO)

    • Retrofit Orders: cash advances; non-employee stipends/preceptors; student and other non-employee reimbursements; umpire/referee payments; bookstore commissions; Verizon IT bills; and legal bills.

    • Purchase Orders: athletics equipment, group travel, printing/promo items, Blackbaud hosting renewals, construction, goods/sponsorships, services, cleaning services, entertainers/speakers/honorariums, and dues/subscriptions

  • What are the available account object codes

  • Why would funds not be available for an account that has available funds in the Budget Inquiry report?

    • The Buyer should submit a BOB ticket to have the Business Office determine whether there is an issue in the report or if Colleague's ACBL funds available checked during the requisition process is accurate.
