Microsoft 365 General Information

Overview

Microsoft 365 is a subscription-based suite of productivity tools offered by Microsoft. It includes a range of applications and services designed to enhance productivity, collaboration, and communication. Key components of Microsoft 365 include popular applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote, as well as cloud-based services such as OneDrive for file storage and sharing, Teams for communication and collaboration, and Outlook for email. 

How to Access

Who is eligible?

Active students, faculty, and staff. Vendors with full licenses.

How do I access it?

1. Visit Microsoft Go to the office.com website: Microsoft 365
2. Select "Sign In"; to sign in, use your full SHU email and password. You might be prompted for Multifactor Authentication (MFA).
3. On the left-hand side of the screen, select the 9 dots which appears

4. Select "More Apps"

5. In the upper-right hand corner of the webpage, select "Install Apps"; select "Microsoft 365 Apps"

6. Select "Install Office" and download the installer

7. Find the download and run the installer to add Microsoft 365 suite to your computer.
