The AI Design Assistant can offer suggestions for test questions, giving extra time to focus on more complicated tasks. The AI Design Assistant is beneficial for both formative and summative assessment. Test questions are generated based on the course context that you select. 

How to Auto-Generate Test Questions 

1. Enter into your course and create a new item on the course content page 
2. Select the Test item from the course item display panel
3. In the assessment, click the circle with a plus sign to get started 
4. A drop down with multiple items will appear, select Auto-generate question. You have several ways to refine the test questions that the AI Design Assistant generates. 
5. Enter an option description (limited to 2,000 characters) to narrow the focus of questions.
6. Select the arrow beside Advanced Options to change the output language.
7. You can select the following question types: essay, Fill in the blank, Matching, Multiple choice, True/False).
8. The 'Inspire me! " question type suggests a variety of question types to give you more options.
