How to Adjust Classroom Camera Using PTZ Virtual USB App

In classrooms using Panasonic IP cameras, the camera controls on the touch panel do not work, and the PTZ Virtual USB App needs to utilized to adjust the camera.

The cameras in the Main Academic Building are Panasonic IP cameras. They look like this:

Using the PTZ Virtual USB App

Accessing the application:

When logging into the classroom computer, the PTZ Virtual USB program will automatically open but it will stay minimized. It connects the camera to the computer.
Important: Do not close the app, just minimize it.

Note: if the application asks for an administrator password, please shut down the desktop and restart it (just logging out is not enough). You can hold down the power button for 10 seconds to shut down the computer, then turn it back on.

Using the Camera in Virtual Meeting Apps:

When using Zoom, Webex, or Microsoft Teams, select Panasonic AVStream Camera 1 as your video source.

Controlling the Camera via PTZ Virtual USB:

To control the camera:

  • Restore the PTZ Virtual USB from the taskbar.
