How to Log In, Access Your Tasks, and Claim a Form in Hyland Automate

Hyland Automate is an e-form and workflow product that Sacred Heart University uses for our forms. This guide walks you through logging in, finding your assigned tasks, and claiming a form to begin working on it.

How to Log into Hyland Automate

  1. Access Automate by going to https://www.experience.hyland.com/
  2. You may see a Hyland webpage, where you will enter your SHU email address.
    1. If asked, enter your SHU email and your SHU password at the Microsoft login.
  3. You will get to the Hyland Automate Home page. To access the form, click on SHU Forms under the Application heading. See an example below:

How to Access Your Tasks

  1. After logging in, you will be brought to the home dashboard.
  2. In the left-hand navigation menu, you'll see your list of available tasks. Click on My Tasks.
  3. A list of available and assigned tasks will appear.

  4. Use the filters or search bar at the top to narrow down tasks if needed.

How to Claim a Form

  1. From the task list, locate the task you need to work on and click on it to open it.
  2. If the task has not yet been claimed, scroll down the page and click the Claim button to assign it to yourself.
    1. If you are going to work on a form, even as simple as signing off on it, you are claiming that task. That's where the term claim is used in Automate. See below for an example of the heading of a form.

  3. The form attached to the task will open and be ready for input.
  4. Fill out the required fields and click Submit when complete.
