Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom web browser application that provides a secure online testing environment. It is designed to prevent cheating during online exams by restricting a student's ability to navigate to other websites, access other applications, or take screenshots while using the browser during an exam.

Who is eligible?

Faculty must enable the feature on a Blackboard assessment in order for the software to be required by students.

Where and how do I access it?

Respondus LockDown Browser can be installed by all users completing an assessment with the feature enabled. Faculty do not need Respondus LockDown Browser installed to enable the feature on an assessment.
