Purpose:
A webinar page is typically used for hosting a presentation or seminar for a large audience.
Audience size:
A webinar can accommodate a large number of attendees. The SHU Microsoft Webinar License holds 1000 attendees.
Interaction:
In a webinar, the presenter has control over the presentation and may limit interaction with the audience to certain times.
Features:
A webinar page may include features such as registration, a waiting room, polls, and Q&A.
Create a Webinar
Open your Microsoft Teams app and select "Calendar" from the left-hand menu
Click on the "New Meeting" button to create a new meeting. Then click "Webinar".
Fill in the details of the meeting, such as the date, time, and title.
Under the "Meeting options" section, toggle on the "Registration" option.
Fill in the registration details, including the registration start and end times, the registration capacity, and any custom questions you want to ask registrants.
Once you have completed the registration details, click on the "Save" button to save your meeting.
Additional Information
To promote your webinar, you can copy the registration link and share it with your intended audience via email or other communication channels.
On the day of the webinar, you can access the registration list and any custom questions that you've added by going to the meeting details and clicking on the "View registration list" button.
During the webinar, you can present your content and interact with attendees using Teams' built-in features, such as screen sharing, Q&A, and polls.
After the webinar, you can access the recording of the meeting in Teams and share it with attendees or others who missed the live event.
