The purpose of this article is to explain how to run CGLP so that the Cash Receipts post to the General Ledger in Detail and not in Summary.

Removal of CGLR

1. The AR 2010-2 Software Update (one of the many patches we applied in 2010) rewrote the remaining AR posting processes (CGLP, FGLP, DGLP and SGLP) to be single step processes like IGLP already was.  Datatel determined that CGLR is no longer needed because CGLP can be run in report mode, update from report mode, or immediate update mode. So, CGLR is now obsolete.

Running CGLP

1. The detailed information that is sent over to the GL is controlled by the parameter the user runs CGLP with.  If the user that ran CGLP did not choose a Posting Summary of N for No Summary, then we will not see the detailed information on the GL side.  Going forward we will need to run CGLP with a Posting Summary of N for No Summary so that the detail will show from that point forward.
