How to MFA to MySHU using a hardware token

Use this KB to MFA in to myshu using your hardware token. You MUST have a hardware token assigned to you by IT Security. Do NOT use this article for normal MFA or login instructions.

1. Navigate to myshu.sacredheart.edu or portal.office.com 

2. Enter in your sacred heart username and password

a. The format is typically email@mail.sacredheart.edu 

3. This will prompt you for a 6 digit code from the authenticator 

4. Press the Power button on your hardware token 

5. Type in the 6 digit code displayed on the token in the prompt in step 3

a. Here is a breakdown of the image above. Going left to right: 

• 1. Power button 
• 2. Is the 6 digit code 
• 3. Is the 30 second timer
