How to Submit an IT Project Request

If you have an idea for a new IT project, here’s how to get it started:

1. Start Your Request

Go to the TDClient Home Page and click Submit a Project Request. This will take you to a page that explains:

  • What an IT Project Request is
  • How it gets reviewed
  • What happens next

2. Fill Out the Project Request Form

You’ll see a form with a few key questions:

  • What does your project need?
  • How will it benefit the university?
  • Is there funding already available?
  • When would you like it completed?

Fill out the form and click Save.

3. Review and Submit

After saving, you’ll see a message saying your Draft Request has been created. To move forward:

  • Click Review and Submit

You’ll be taken to the Business Case section of your request. Here, you can:

  • See your name listed as the Requestor
  • Check the current status of your request
  • Use the left-hand menu to review each section

4. Final Touches

  • General Section: Review your answers. Click Mark Incomplete if you want to make changes.
  • Files Section: Upload any documents (e.g., vendor quotes). You can skip this if you don’t have files. Just click Mark Complete.

5. Submit or Cancel

Once everything looks good:

  • Click Review and Submit one last time
  • Then click Submit to send it to IT for review

If you change your mind, you can click Withdraw to cancel the request.

Note: Once you click Submit, your request is locked and can’t be edited. It will go straight to IT for review.
