How to Install McAfee 

Windows Installation

1. Click here to get McAfee Endpoint Security for Windows
2. Navigate to your downloads directory and extract the contents of the McAfee Endpoint Security .zip file by right-clicking on the file, selecting extract all and selecting a location to extract the files to.
   
                                       
   
                                 
3. Launch the setupEP installation file and follow all default settings.
   
                                                                       
4. Navigate to your systray in the bottom right of your computer and launch Update Security for the most current protection.                                      
5. The updater will detect and install the most current threat protection. 

Mac Installation

1. Click here to download McAfee for Mac. You might need to log in with your network account.
2. Launch the McAfee-Endpoint-Security .dmg file and double-click the .pkg file to begin the installation.
   
3. Follow all defaults and complete the installation. When prompted, enter your password to allow the application to install.
   
4. Open security preferences and allow McAfee to modify extensions when you are prompted.
   
5. When finished, click the McAfee shield from the menu bar, select Console, click Update Now, and select the Start Update button. Let the Threat Prevention Update progress to completion.
   
6. Select Status under the McAfee PROTECTION menu. If your Mac appears to be at risk, launch Preferences from McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac on your menu bar to enable Threat Prevention and Firewall. You will have to unlock the preferences in the General window to make the changes. This will require your password. Once changes are made, click the lock again to prevent any further changes.
   
7. Make sure all three components – Threat Prevention, Firewall, and Web Control – are all toggled to ON. Then click the lock again to secure your preferences.
   
8. Select Quit McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac from the McAfee menu, and you have successfully installed your Endpoint Security and Threat Protection!
