Before installing and/or using SPSS, the user's computer must be connected to the Sacred Heart Wi-Fi network or the Sacred Heart VPN. Any other VPNs must be turned off.

1. Once you are connected to the campus network or the VPN, run the installer after downloading it from the SPSS Mac link. 
2. A window will appear that will ask what language to install in, select your language of choice and click OK. 
3. Under Introduction, accept the terms. 
4. Under Python Essentials select Yes and select Next.
5. Accept all license agreements and select Next. 
6. Continue to select Next on all screens until the installation begins. 
7. When the installation is finished, confirm the Start IBM SPSS box is checked and click Finish.

Licensing SPSS for Mac

When SPSS opens for the first time it will present a Licensing Window.

1. On the Product Authorization page click Concurrent user license and then click Next to continue.
2. On the License Manager page enter shuacd.sacredheart.edu in the License Manager name box and click Next to continue.
3. On the Licensing Completed page click Finish.
