About Account Passwords

Student, applicant, and alumni account passwords expire every 180 days.

Faculty, staff, adjunct, and vendor passwords expire every 180 days, unless they have access to applications containing sensitive information at which point their password will expire every 30–90 days depending on access specifics.

All users with a Sacred Heart University email will receive emails beginning 14 days before the password is set to expire, guiding them to reset the password. When the password is not reset in time, the user will be locked out of most services.
