Summary

How to manually add a PERC (Person Restrictions).

Body

Students who need to have blocks/restrictions on their accounts in Colleague can have them added by people authorized to do so. If you have access to add a restriction (PERC), follow these steps:

Manually Add a PERC (Person Restrictions)

  1. In Colleague, go to the PERC (Person Restrictions) screen
  2. At the "Person LookUp" prompt, enter the Student ID number or search for the student by name
  3. Scroll down to the next available empty row on the screen of restrictions
  4. Enter the restriction code (Admin Assistants, please see below for the correct Advisor Permission Needed restriction code(s))
  5. Under Severity enter one of the following:
    • 1 = Critical (red in SPA), may block access to functions such as registration
    • 3 = Warning (yellow in SPA), friendly warning but will not prevent anything
    • 5 = Informational (green in SPA), just an FYI
  6. Add a Start Date to make this restriction effective
  7. Click Save and then Update
