Body
There are times when a user's Colleague session must be ended. This task is also referred to as unblocking, ending, or terminating a user session. There are many reasons for this, such as:
- the user's screen is frozen
- the user has a screen open and is causing a record lock for another user
- the user did not log off before a system maintenance window
Requesting a User Log Off
If a message regarding a record lock is displayed while in Colleague, first contact the user directly and ask them to close the window they have open in Colleague.
If the user has not responded in a timely manner and you need an IT staff to end the session, please do the following:
- Send an email to AdminIT@sacredheart.edu stating the following:
- Subject: End Colleague User Session
- Message: Please end the Colleague session for user <include the username>.
- Several IT staff monitor the AdminIT Inbox consistently and will address the request promptly
- Please do not send Teams chats to individual IT staff members
