Roster verification is required for all course sections for various university business processes.
Steps to Verify Rosters
Follow these steps to perform this task:
- From the Home page in SPA, click the Faculty link
- A list of courses, assigned to the faculty logged into SPA, will appear
- The date that the roster verification is due for the course section will be noted in the "Roster Verification Dates" column
- Click the Course Name
- Click the Roster Verification tab
- Review the roster and complete the following as needed
- Never Attended - if the student was a no-show, check this box
- Last Date of Attendance - not required for roster verification
- Once the steps above are performed, click the Verify button on the right-hand side
- A dialog box will appear titled "Certify Roster Verification Attendance"
- Confirm the statement "I certify that these students are in attendance, except those marked not in attendance." by clicking the Submit button
- A message will appear stating the date that the roster was verified
- On the Manage your Courses page, note the course no longer displays the roster verification information
- Once the roster has been verified for the course section, the Roster Verification tab will display the following notification:
- "There is no roster to verify for the section"
Notes:
- Marked a student as never attended in error?
- If you mark a student as never attended in error and realize it after your roster has been verified, you can remove the never attended notification in the Grading section on the Academic Warning tab. Locate the student in question and uncheck the never attended box
