How to View and Interpret AP Credits in SPA

Viewing AP scores and their equivalency in SPA

If you are an academic advisor, the below steps explain where to look in SPA for AP credits and their equivalencies in SPA.  Please note, all AP scores that a student requested to be sent will be visible in the Test Score tab,  however only scores of 4 and 5 will be accepted for credit by the University.

  1. Log in to SPA and go to the Advising link
  2. Find the advisee in your list you wish to work with and click View Details
  3. To view all AP scores submitted to the university, click the Test Scores tab and scroll down to the Other Tests section.  You will see all scores received with the score the student achieved.  Scores are listed as the score received out of maximum of 5.
  4. To view the equivalency, click the Progress tab to view the student's progress/degree audit/program evaluation and scroll down until you see where the scores of 4 or better would apply.  For example a student who had a score for Psychology under Test Scores, you might look at the SOCIAL SCIENCE section in the Foundational Core to see the Noncourse Equivalency for PS-110  Note:  it will no longer show the Term 63/TR nor have a grade of T as these scores are being imported differently from previous years.
  5. Finally, you can see credits in the student's Undergraduate Transcript in the Unofficial Transcript tab.  At this time, the credits will show at the top under Other Test with the total credits earned, it does not show the details for the equivalencies on the transcript.
