Safeware insurance coverage varies based on the plan purchased, but the program is designed to provide coverage for electronic devices if something is damaged or has failed. The Safeware program extends the manufacturer warranty and provides accidental coverage including drops, liquid spills, cracked screens and more.

Who is eligible?

Clients who have purchased Safeware coverage prior to July 1st, 2025 through Sacred Heart University and still have valid coverage. Note: Safeware is no longer sold at the university.

There will be no purchases of new cards.

An eligible client should stop by one of the PioTech Center locations with the covered device to receive assistance for an eligible device. Any user with Safeware coverage also has an option to reach out to Safeware directly and manage their repairs with the insurance company directly.
