How to Submit a Video Assignment using EchoVideo

EchoVideo isn’t just for lecture capture—students can also use it to create and submit video assignments directly through Blackboard. Whether recording a presentation, demonstrating a skill, or narrating a slideshow, EchoVideo makes it easy for students to produce and share video content as part of their coursework. This guide walks you through the steps to complete and submit a video assignment using EchoVideo in Blackboard. For more guidance on the recording component, please refer to the How to Record using Universal Capture: Personal located on the right hand side of this page. 

Procedure

  1. Login to Blackboard and select the course and assignment your faculty member has created for you to submit your work. 
  2. Under Submission, on the right hand side, select the circle with +sign icon from the text editor menu, then select Content Market.

  3. Next, You will see a screen with various tools, select EchoVideo Embedded Video

  4. Next you will see a screen with three options
    1. Choose Exiting Content: Add a video from your Library you have already created or have access to
    2. Create Content: Leverage the web-based or desktop application on Universal Capture to create a new recording
    3. Upload Content: Add content that exists on your computer or within Microsoft OneDrive
  5. Once your content has been created and added, select submit
