Faculty are added to courses through the Registrar's office and the colleague system syncs with Blackboard Ultra every four hours to process these changes. However, there are cases where an Instructor would like to invite a colleague to their Blackboard course to collaborate, share resources, and more. The teaching assistant role applies the same permission as an Instructor role, but is not impacted by the sync updates from the Registrar's Office colleague system.
Add as a Teaching Assistant
- Enter the course the user should be added to with an account that has Instructor access.
- On the left hand side, under details and actions select View everyone in your course under the Roster heading.
- In the top right corner, select the + sign > Enroll People.
- Enter the name of the individual you would like to enroll and select the +sign next to their name.
- From the drop down that appears, select Teaching Assistant.
- Select Save.
