Several Adobe products are available to active university users.

Adobe Express is an easy-to-use creative platform for designing presentations, flyers, social media graphics, videos, and other digital content. It provides professional templates, simple editing tools, and AI-powered features like Adobe Firefly to help users quickly create polished content. It is available to all active users.

Adobe Acrobat Pro is a document management application used to create, edit, convert, organize, share, and secure PDF documents. It provides tools for combining files, creating and completing forms, adding electronic signatures, comparing documents, protecting sensitive information, and collaborating on PDFs. It is available with a special license.

Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of professional applications for graphic design, photography, video editing, animation, web design, and document creation. It includes industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro for creating and editing advanced digital content. It is available with a special license.

How to Access

Who is eligible?

Students

As a Sacred Heart undergraduate student, you'll have access to:

• Adobe Express Premium to create presentations, videos, flyers, social media graphics, resumes, and other projects using professional templates and AI-powered tools.
• Adobe Firefly AI features within Adobe Express to help generate images, enhance designs, and bring your ideas to life.
• Adobe applications in campus computer labs for coursework and creative projects.
• Adobe Creative Cloud (must be approved by Department) for students in select academic programs whose coursework requires access to professional Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.

Faculty and Staff

Staff and faculty have access to the Adobe Express Premium account when using your SHU account.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

• Why don't I see Photoshop or Premiere Pro?

  • Only students in eligible academic programs receive a full Adobe Creative Cloud license. All students have access to Adobe Express Premium and Adobe Firefly AI.

• Can I use Adobe on my personal computer?

  • Creative Cloud license holders can download supported desktop applications to eligible personal devices. 
  • Adobe Express is used in a web browser and Adobe software available in campus computer labs.

• Can I just have access to Photoshop?

  • No, our license structure only allows for full creative cloud access or Acrobat Pro.

• Do I need to request access every year?

  • Yes, license review will be conducted every year beginning in the month of June. 

• What happens after I graduate?

  • Access to Adobe products is tied to your Sacred Heart University account and licensing eligibility. Adobe access will end when your University affiliation or assigned license expire
