How to Set Default Email to Outlook for Email All My Advisees in SPA

In order for faculty to use the Email All My Advisees in SPA (Colleague Self-Service) the default Email application must be set to Outlook. Instructions for setting the default app to Outlook on a Windows 10 computer are listed in this article.

Follow these steps to set default email to Outlook for Email All My Advisees in SPA.

Change or Set a Default Email

  1. In the Search bar in the lower left, type Settings and click on the Settings app in the search results.
  2. Next click on Apps.
  3. On the left menu, click on Default Apps.
  4. In the center under Default Apps, change the default Email app to Outlook.  It may say Mail is recommended for Windows 10 but it should be changed to Outlook.
  5. Close Settings and go back into SPA.  The Email All My Advisees should now default to Outlook.
