Body
In this set of instructions you will learn how to connect your lecture capture (Echo360) content to your course page in Blackboard. Linking your lecture captures will allow your students to select one link to access all recorded lectures. For students, videos will appear in playlist format.
Procedure
- Open your Blackboard Ultra Course
- In the Course Content section, click the plus sign (+) where you wish to nest your Echo360 link
- Select Content Market from the options list
- From the available options, select the small plus sign (+) listed under Active Learning Platform
A new folder will be created titled Active Learning Platform in the course content section.
- Select the new Active Learning Platform link.
Your lecture captures are now linked to your course page in Blackboard. If you are linking to a course that does not have content yet, the playlist will appear blank. As content becomes available, videos will become accessible to students.
- By default, term and course will be grayed out
- Use the section dropdown menu to select your desired course. Ensure the selected course matches the current or desired term in the step one grayed out region.
With the latest Echo360 update, it defaults in pulling ALL courses assigned to an instructor. You may see multiple sections of the same course listed. Click though until the desired term is presented in the grayed out region.
- Select Section Home (a list of all lessons in the section)
- Click Connect.
Visibility Options
- Visible to Students: the content will be available to all students in the course.
- Hidden from Students: the content will be available to the instructor to continue to edit, but will not be available for students to view.
- Release Conditions: the content will be visible based on the criteria set.
- Select Members: You can make the content visible to all members (default) or specific members or groups.
- Date/Time: You can make the content visible based on a specific date/time. This is helpful when releasing content on a consistent schedule.
- Performance: You can make the content visible based on a student's performance on an assessment. This is helpful when you want to provide additional resources to students that may be struggling.
Renaming the Active Learning Platform Folder
- Click the kebab menu (3-dots) then select edit.
- The side menu will pop out on the right side of your screen. Click the pencil icon to give the folder a new title.
- Enter an appropriate name for your lecture capture videos. (Example: Lecture Videos, Lecture Captures, Class Recordings, etc.)
- Select Save.
