Synoptix - How to Troubleshoot "Setup Wizard" Login Screen Error

Once logged onto Secure Desk and logged on to the Sacred Heart desktop, Synoptix can be accessed. When Synoptix is opened, the "Synoptix for ellucian Setup Wizard" screen may come up. This is the incorrect way to sign into Synoptix. There may be times where the ".Synoptix for ellucian"​ folder needs to be updated which causes the "Synoptix for ellucian Setup Wizard" screen to may come up. Please follow the following steps to resolve this issue.

Troubleshooting

  1. Log into Secure Desk and use the appropriate desktop that is used to access Synoptix. 
  2. Open file explorer and click on depart$ - (\\nascluster02.sacredheart.edu\depart$\) shared drive
  3. Click into the Business Office folder
  4. Find the ".Synoptix for ellucian" folder and right click it, then click copy
  5. Then navigate to the Local Disk (C:) drive
  6. Click into the "Users" folder
  7. Then find the folder that has your SHU username and go into it
    1. For IT, this is the smith account username
  8. Right click anywhere in file explorer to paste the file
    1. Click "Replace the files in the destination" field in the "Replace or Skip Files" pop up
  9. Then go back to Synoptix and the correct login screen should now be displayed.

 

Shared Drive Issues in Relation to Synoptix
