How to Submit Midsemester Grades in SPA

Midsemester grades must be entered for all course sections. 

Procedure

  1. From the SPA Home page, select the Faculty link
  2. A list of courses assigned to the faculty logged into SPA will appear by term, select the course you want to submit grades for. 
  3. Below the Section Details, select the Grading tab (near Roster and Roster Verification)
  4. Click on the Midsemester Grade tab
  5. Click the dropdown in the Midsemester Grade column and select the grade for the student
    • Note: Last Date of Attendance should not be entered in Midsemester Grading.  Last attended date is only needed when a final grade of F or I are submitted.
    • You do not have to complete the entire class grading at once, though it is recommended
  6. Once you have completed entering your midsemester grades, select the Submit Academic Warnings/Midsemester Grades button

Additional Information

  • When you have completed entering all the grades for your course, you will see a grading completed message with the date and time that reads "Last submitted on <date>" 
  • If you update a grade after completing grading you can do so, but just note that if you click the submit button again, the last submitted on date will update to the new date/time.
  • The Overview tab will show the Midsemester Grade
