Third Party Access - General Information

Description

A solution that manages requests for access to SHU systems (except Dayforce) and resources for non-university employees such as vendor employees, contract workers, temporary workers, interns, and volunteers.  Anyone needing access to software solutions, SHU email, SHU ID Card, and/or door access must get an individual network account.  The account cannot be used by other individuals.  The individual assigned to the account will be held accountable for any inappropriate use of the account.  Generic vendor named accounts will no longer be provided.

Requests are either submitted by users assigned as "Managers" of a particular group or by staff in the Administrative IT department if no manager is identified. An annual review is required to continue access beyond the fiscal year-end date of June 30th.

If the person will need access to SHU systems containing sensitive information, the person must also read and sign the Confidentiality Statement once the request is processed and a Colleague Person ID is created.
