Graduation is an exciting time! Use the steps below to apply for graduation in SPA. 

Procedure

1. From the Home page of SPA, "Hello, Welcome to SPA - Student Planning and Advising!" screen, click the Graduation Overview (View and submit a graduation application.) link. 
2. Click the Apply link to the far right of the program for which you are applying to graduate
3. Click the dropdown for Graduation Term to choose the term for which you are applying to graduate
4. Enter your name as you want it to appear on your diploma
   • NOTE: you are limited to 120 characters for the diploma name field
5. Enter the phonetic spelling of your name, only necessary if you are attending commencement so that the commencement speaker has the correct pronunciation
   • NOTE: you are limited to 50 characters for the phonetic spelling field
6. If you plan to attend commencement, make sure that the "Will you attend commencement?" button is toggled on
7. Check the mailing address that your diploma is defaulting to and enter a new address if it does not match the preferred mailing address
8. Enter the number of guests attending, if you are not attending commencement you can leave the number as 0
9. If you are United States military, click the dropdown to enter your military status
10. Enter any special accommodations in the applicable box
11. Select Submit.

If upon submission you get the error Unable to submit the application at this time, check the number of characters for the fields below to ensure you are not exceeding the character limit.
