How to Batch Update Academic Standings in Colleague

Batch Updating Academic Standings

  1. Create a savedlist of student IDs you want to update using SLED, for detailed instructions refer to this article: Creating Savedlists Using SLED and SLCR
  2. If you are updating any standings other than Dean's List go to ALST and change the Standing code with the rule RGACST by clicking the dropdown to choose the standing code that corresponds with the savedlist you will be processing
  3. Save and update out of ALST
  4. Go to CACS
  5. Click the dropdown for Acad Standing Type and choose TERM
  6. Enter the term in the Term field
  7. If the Start/End Dates do not automatically populate, enter the start and end dates for the term you entered
  8. Print Report can be kept at No unless you want a report to generate
  9. Update Records must be set to Yes so that the standing code will update for the students
  10. Enter your savedlist name in the Saved List Name field so that the process only updates the records you want
  11. Enter the correct academic level for the savedlist you are updating in the Acad Levels
  12. Save and Update to process the list
  13. Repeat the process for all remaining standing code groups
